In 1980, interested Village residents, in conjunction with the Roebling Historical Society, recognized the need to beautify and clean up the Village of Roebling. This active group began by planting flowers and shrubs around town, while at the same time cleaning up streets and parks that had been neglected.
By 1989, the participation became so great that the Roebling Garden Club was officially formed to oversee and conduct its many activities and projects.  Today, the Roebling Garden Club still maintains a busy schedule of activities, all completed by its volunteer members.

The people of Roebling are proud of their past and present history and their contributions to the world. During World War II, over 400 men from the small village of Roebling proudly served their nation in a time of war. The Roebling Mill supplied material which was vital to the war effort and the John A. Roebling company was awarded the Navy "E" (Excellence) for outstanding performance.  For over 50 years, the VFW and Legion have performed a gun salute at the Roebling Circle to those who fought proudly in the Armed Services, with many of those veterans giving their lives for the cost of freedom.
